Upon successful completion of the BA in Geography, students will be able to:
1.Understand Physical and Human Geography
Demonstrate a strong understanding of physical processes such as landforms, climate, ecosystems, and human activities including population, settlement, and economic patterns.
2.Apply Geographical Concepts and Theories
Analyze spatial patterns and relationships using core geographical concepts, models, and theories at local, regional, and global scales.
3.Use Geospatial Technologies
Apply tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and cartography for spatial analysis, mapping, and data interpretation.
4.Conduct Fieldwork and Research
Design and carry out geographical field surveys, collect and analyze data, and present findings using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods.
5.Analyze Environmental and Sustainability Issues
Evaluate environmental challenges, resource management issues, and sustainable development practices from a geographical perspective.
6.Interpret Maps and Spatial Data
Read, create, and interpret maps, charts, and spatial datasets to support planning, decision-making, and problem-solving.
