Principal Message
As we begin a new academic year, I extend a warm welcome to all prospective students joining Govt. College Dharampur. Since its inception in 2014, the college has scaled new heights in all spheres of education and this year with great pleasure, I would like to inform you that our college has moved from temporary campus to new permanent campus located at Kasauli hills at Mandodhar, Dharampur, Solan. The new college campus offers all amenities and facilities having well lighted and ventilated smart class rooms, faculty study rooms, two computer labs, one ICT lab, spacious library, multipurpose hall, audio visual room, girls common room, NCC/ NSS/ Rovers and Rangers rooms, Sports room and co-curricular activities room.
The college has been providing quality education in two undergraduate programs- B. A. and B. Com with training programmes. The college has very experienced and highly qualified faculty members who are actively involved in disseminating knowledge and skills to the students. They also enrich their own knowledge by actively participating in National and International Seminars and conferences, presenting papers, training courses, working as Resource Persons.
The college has signed three MoU’s with the Department of Agriculture & Horticulture and Waste Warrior society. These strategic alliances will encourage innovation, knowledge sharing and collaborative research endeavors. The college has adopted 5 schools as per directions of Directorate of Higher Education Himachal Pradesh for sharing of human and other infrastructural resources of the college with the student and staff and to provide mentorship and support to school students, sensitizing them about education opportunities after class XII and empowering them to achieve their educational goals.
We are committed to enhancing student’s skills, fostering leadership qualities and instilling values of social work. We aim to achieve this through various activities like career counseling, communicative skill development programmes and debates organized by our well established NSS, Clubs and Societies. As we embark on this new phase, we are excited about the new opportunities and look forward to provide our students with a qualitative, value oriented and stimulating learning environment in our new campus.
